dRoWning In MaThs...

on 1/30/2005 02:17:00 PM

*Currently downloading Tactics, Jubei-chan 2, Kurau and OSTs.*

This is bad. I dun understand at all. I'm gonna die... I'm scared of maths now. To think that it's once my triumph card. This is the end of the world. *drown*

I haven't start reading up on stats and probs.. but then i can feel the headache of trying to comprehend, let alone applying it. it's gotta be disasterous this time.. my days are numbered. Death will sweep me away on that fateful day. Farewell, my frens. For i'll be heading for that unknown world, devoid of exams and quiz, hopefully.

*slap myself hard*
Felt really tension now. got to burst out sumwhere, which's i'm doing here. Besides exam, assignments are pilling up, and my brain's further burdened with contemplation and dilemma about my Beta course. Everything jz heap up in front of me, blocking my sight. Feeling helpless, and a wee bit despair. No, make it a huge engulfing despair.

*sigh*
Think it's jz wat life's about, eh? Well, maybe you're right. Off i go to cramp those formulae in my nut head. This is driving me crazy... *mumble mumble*

*sigh*
Having midterm test next week... dun think i'll survive. Assignments piling up like a mountain...
Wat's more is that right after the chinese new year break, there are exams too... this means we'll have to study during the holiday!!! Urgh!
well, going for screening now~ dun wanna miss it~ XD

I hate Thursdays!!

on 1/22/2005 01:11:00 PM

Well, only the lab session that is. It's so dreadful and hateful and awful that i think you know wat i meant~ It's even worse than back then in INTI. At least i know theoretically wat to do then, compared to now being so hopelessly helpless. In the end, after 3 long hours of struggling and never ending tormenting, we copied solution from other groups as usual and passed up in the last minute. I was so pissed of by both myself for being so helpless and the lecturer for making me so. All in all, whenever there's lab session, there'll be mountain of stress loaded upon us, misarable beasts of burden...
Besides my "so what's new?" teeth-gnashing and grousing about the lab sessions, the MUET results were out today. I was jz hoping that i can get sumthing better than band 4 cos after my speaking test was ruined by that stupid IT guy, i dun think i can be so lucky as to even get near to band 6. Darn! really wanna kill that guy! *deadly glare scouring for the silhouette of his*
Enough about me, others seems to be excited with the results too.*duh*
Some in my class got really remarkable results and got really near to getting a band 6. Some got 'killed' in speaking test while most lost marks in the writing test. Some surprisingly got band 4 and was planning to retake the exam and it get me considering about it too. I dun want ppl in future seeing my lower-than-expected speaking test marks and looking at me as if i'm a retard or sth. Well, maybe i'll retake it, maybe not. RM50 is really a lot. *eyes shooting fire beams at that retarded IT guy* Well, at least overall i got a band 5, which matter the most i guess~
At 6sth, i went up the Bukit Bukit Beruang (BBB...hahah) again with Loo Mun, Yining and Jong. At first i din want to cos i'm in a bad mood and felt really fatigued, but then in a second thought, i might as well go to release tension. And it proved to be a really good solution to stress! I was in a really good mood after coming down from the hill. Wat's more, i get to drink soup in the chinese restaurant near Taman Bunga Raya~ it's so delicious that i drank the last drop of it. Even the herbs inside was all eaten by me~ It's been so long ever since i last drank soup! Aaaa... this is the life. Although it's quite expensive (RM3 per bowl),I think it's worth it, savouring it once in a while. :P
Then at about 8.30pm, we went back to campus and went straight to the screening. Never thought that they would screen Kaleido star! As it has 52 episodes and i was too lazy to download, i was really happy and surprised to see it screened! yey~ Here's a pic~

There were only a few ppl who went for screening though, as everyone had gone back already. The 2 episodes of scrapped princess was nice too, as things are revealing and got less confusing. The explanation given makes things clear up finally~ phew. This is definitely in my burning list :P
After screening, I called back home to find that mom's baking a cake. *drool* She asked me if i'm going anywhere tomorrow cos it's holiday. i told her i have drama practice so might not go anywhere. After a while, Mom passed the phone to dad and then he told me some house renting know-how. Then i proudly told him that i'd climb up the hill 2nd time (he teased me that i'd never go up the hill more than 3 times) and we will be going up next week too~ he jz laugh off the topic, as did in the conversation where i pleaded him imploringly for a car/motor starting next sem... >.<" At the end, i can't wait to get back home cos everyone will be back in Taiping for Chinese New Year. Arrgh. Why do we have test before and after the holiday?! *grumble grumble grumble*
Now, i need to get some sleep since stupid hostel connection is screwed. :P
oyasuminasai~

Drained out

on 1/19/2005 12:37:00 PM

I'm kinda tired to begin with. It's been a really straining Sunday and so the next day, i wore glasses to class, jz to psychologically ease my eye sore due to the constant staring at the monitor for more than 10 hours... then while waiting for our lecturer, ppl started asking if i was wearing contact lenses all this while and was jz keeping a low profile about it. i shrugged and then told them in turns that my power is very low so i dun have to wear the specs most of the time, followed by the reason of wearing it -me being obsessed with redoing new template, avatar and sig in long hours- of which Chenli was shocked while Wei Cheng boasted he'd once scrutinized the monitor >26 hours. *sweatdrops*
After that, we had our drama practice in an empty room in Fosee, jz to get used to the environment and to arrange our positions in the scenes. Acting was 10times more difficult and tiring than i thought. I jz can't get in to the character that i'm suppose to be, and can't help curving my lips into a smile and then giggling nonstop. Not to mention the drama was abit too short, which was only 10-15 minutes... so everyone are to think of ways to lengthen the drama and then meet up again this friday. Actually we were suppose to meet up today, but then Kristine said she's totally drained out with the Taekwando tournament coming up as she's the mc as well as a participant (compared to her i was relatively free, but i'm tired as well) so we postponed it to friday :P
The CLC concourse was really crowded with ppl as CLS was selling festive food stuff (Loo Mun was one of them and was busy as a crazy bee) while the Hair saloon ppl came over through spark to give free hair styling for students, as a promotion to attract those who are going to the prom night by Spark for hairdos. Boss and Vivi and Kelvin went and came back giving us a shock, especially boss. He had his hair all curl up and puffy at the bottom, which makes him looked really like a girl at first sight. i can hardly recognise him. All i could do was gawk and then ask wat happened to him. Vivi, with a really nice hairdo, said they jz came from the clc concourse. I din know about the existance of this FOC service until i saw their 'different looks' :P oh well, i'm not going there for new hairdo anyway~ *shrugs*
Jz now i'd jz been to pasar malam with Alex and Cheesey and others and ate at the laksa stall. Though the prawn mee i ordered was not good *felt like being cheated*, I got extras-small pineapple slices, and mint- from Kristine and Cheesey, who ate Asam Laksa. Wee~ Later we bumped into Mdm. Sharmini and she was as cheerful and jolly as usual. She said she'd come to see our drama presentation, and was looking forward to it. It's really nice of her. We chatted abit and then bid her goodbye not long later cos me and Kristine have to run for the jap class, which was at 7pm. After the class i can feel the fatigue eating me away in chunks.
The weather here is getting windier and cooler than i've ever experienced. Moreover, the aircon in CLC classrooms' are really cold, especially on Wed's classes. Speaking of which, they were getting harder to comprehend despite physics class being totally hopeless. I think I'll have to start studying for physics now, cos at this rate of me skipping numerous classes and sleeping through most of those attended, i'm going flung my midterm...>.<" So...
*puppy eye-ing at everyone for help, notes and tutorial answers*
guess that's it. I'm Damn tired. Tomorrow we have the dreadful lab session, and wat's more is that we have to write another full report on it. Jz great. *Energy level dropping drastically* Sigh, jz hope i can pass physics...

Too many things, Too little time~

on 1/17/2005 12:58:00 PM

Well! how do you like my new template? It took me a whole Sunday's time to finally get it right...Phew! Many thanks to Tidus(Cheers!!) for helping me out *muaks* and also Ufo *hugs* for thinking up such nice verses for my blog signature.

[translation 4 the chinese words: though the wan light is vanishing, and the darkness arriving, I'll hold on tight to the last ray, awaiting yet another dawn.]

okay, i'll roll back to friday, when we gave a surprise party to Sharon. Her birthday was on 15th, so we planned to celebrate with her on 14th midnight. Our venue was outdoors, which is the open field opposite EP. It was really chilly out there, as we were putting the birthday cake(yummy~) and other snacks on the stone table. Everyone shivered and teeth chattered, willing the two, Patrick(the usher) and Sharon to come quickly. I was already eating the snacks before they came. *bleh*
On the field, there were a bunch of Indians playing soccer and we were so worried that the ball would hit us or eventually land on the cake >"< but then thank God it din. There were spectators sitting along the field while on the other table was another crowd of ppl celebrating their friend's birthday. We were suppose to hide when they arrived, and we'd done quite a good job i'd say :P. even Patrick can't find us, as we blend in too well with the crowds. So when they had walked to the stone table laid with food and cake, we ran out to them. Happy Birthday, Obasan!
Sharon was totally dumbfounded cos Pat said he was jz going to return things at EP. Well, part of it was because we hid too well. :P hahaha..
And the feast, oppss.. party began! we were joking and laughing all the time, especially when sharon was to blow the candle, which can hardly be lid up in the breeze cold night. Then it's cake eating time (my favourite part~)! She cut up the cake into 8 really uneven pieces, saying it's to avoid cutting the grapes in it :P and then we took our pieces according to our birthdate, with Loo Mun cutting line (she too hungry di) haha.. i finished up my share in a jiffy and then unwillingly (really?) I ate some of sharon's piece >v<"
It was even funnier when she was opening up her present. In the evening Loo Mun had wrapped up the present in layers of newspapers, besides stuffing the box with even more of them. Then only we wrapped the bulky box with the tiny present in it. So you can imagine her tearing out layers and layers of newspapers and then sticked to the box was a memo wishing her 'happy birthday, Obasan' in Japanese. hahaha.. i was laughing myself to death seeing her bewildered+annoyed yet happy expression. And that was not all, as she took out the present and asked me wat it is. I nearly choked myself and then smiling, i gave her 2 guesses. It was a pair of earrings, which looked like wavy long silver. I guess it was jz too unique that she haven't seen it before (actually me too, before i bought it..^^).
We took lots of pics, with us posing like bunch of lunatics. it was fun staying out at night doing crazy things. It's jz wat having fun's all about. Yining was cracking jokes and teasing Pat all the same, making us roaring with laughter. In the interval, we ate summore, sitting open air against the freezing wind. When it's about 2 in the morning, we decided to go back to hostel, with the unfinished snacks in my hands *evil grin* and that's the end of the party.

On Sat, i woke up at 11sth, as i went to bed at about 4. I was feeling groggy being deprived from sleep (then why dun you sleep summore?!) as i routinely on my monitor and then got stuck to the com for dunno how long. I was snapped back to reality when Kristine called and said we have drama practise at 3pm, which was.. now! I shot up from my chair and was stupified. i gathered the snacks as told by Kristine, and then rushed to our rendezvous. Ethan, our narrator, handed out a script to me as we marched to PS. There, we read the scripts and was having a hard time trying to read out the scripts emotionally. I can't help laughing at my lines and how awkward we acted. After we acted out the drama once, we called it a day and promise to meet up for another practise this tuesday, with the script memorized... Doubt that i can do that...>_<"
When me and Kristine got back to our room, it was already 5pm. Yining's msg popped out and asked if we wanna go hiking. We said yes and then we met up at 6sth. We went off first without Sharon and Pat as they'll catch up later. We walked out MMU through the sidegate and then sauntered to the foot of Bukit Beruang hill. When we were walking up the steep hillroad, Pat rang and said he din know how to come here. SauJong explained painstakingly but then they decided to not come after all. So we went our way up, with me panting like an ox. It's was really steep and i can feel my muscles straining and screaming in my legs...
After a while of seemingly never ending toil, We reached the clearing where we can watch sunset. We had a bird eye's view of Melaka. Cool~ It was worth it after all. The scenery was nice, with the setting sun shining orange rays onto the sky and over the whole of melaka. Yining took pictures of us and also the beautiful sky with her hp. We could see the sea afar gleaming as the sky turned darker and the air cooled down to a soothing breeze. Thus, about 7.30pm, we got down surprisingly fast and went for dinner.

On Sunday, I woke up pretty early. at 9 o'clock i'd already had some breakfast and then started to edit the pics yining took. i combined the sunset pics which she took with the 15pics nonstop snapping option. It took me about 3 hours and viola~ my blog signature was done in jpg form. Then Ufo was online and i chatted with her for a while. Of course I did show her my masterpiece (wat a show off :P) and she thought up the verses for the sig. And after about 2 hours, i finished doing the touch up and showed it to her. I was so grateful to her that i promised to make her another one :P
After that, I went to peek at my blog, seemingly uncool jz having the background changed. So, with the sig at hand, i changed the xml abit (with Tidus' help :D) and got it right instantly. Having a sense of fulfillment, I went to nexus board only to see that my avatar is still in the christmas theme...(sweat) and so off i go doodling in photoshop until i got myself a new avatar and a small matching signature. haha.. all in all, i'd used up the whole day messing around and staring at my blog page smugly and giddy-headed. At about midnight, it was then only i realized that the chemistry and applied maths tutorial questions are piling in loads threatening to tumble down on me... =.=||| and so i rushed to do it as much as i could, until about 3am, when i surrended to fatigue and sleepiness. So, ignoring the mountain of homework, i dropped dead on my bed.

That's about it... and i've been typing since i came back from Jap class at 10 sth. I can see how draggy this's going... so i'll stop and go attend to the pile of work which was urgently wanting attention :P

C'est la vie

on 1/13/2005 05:10:00 PM

Hmm.. many unexpected things had happened this week, for me at least, being an ignorant brat and all. Can't do anything about them, and i found that C'est la vie is jz the mot juste for them. :P
There were many clubs holding events this week, as we can see that stalls and booths were all set up along the clc concourse. Of course the heated promotions - colourful and striking banners, handouts, and the ubiquitous, ugly, yet effective flyers- had caught the attentions of the streaming students, who were gathering in the concourse from all directions. We have the JLS with their Japanese cultural week, the Engsoc's E-week, along with CLS which hold events all so frequent that ppl got sick of it... The concourse was bursting with life; Sushi, Hotdogs and even secret recipe cheesecakes were sold while other venders were selling an array of accessories, dvds and vcds, and also anime merchandises; Streams of ppl flowed in the spot, with boisterous noises echoing everywhere from the bubbly chit chat to the persistant advertising of the products. Meanwhile, the Xpose team were lurking in the dark exercuting mysterious plans.
I din feel like eating so we went back to our room. We heard sirens screaming from afar but we jz ignored it, until it got abit too annoying. Kristine went to check out when Yining came back and told me what happened. FOSEE's on fire! My jaw dropped. Shooting off the room and out to the stairs, me and Kristine squinted at FOSEE for any commotion, smoke or fire. We saw a fireman and the fire engine, which is the source of the siren and a few ppl gathering down the road. We din see any smoke or even fire if it matters, but yining said the smoke was previously coming from the labs. Relieved yet sum what disappointed (i'm jz being honest) we went back to our room.
After class at 3, I went to the main hall to donate blood, with Kristine tagging along. It was nothing to me, cos I've done it before, though it doesn't really matter. We went in the freezing room non-chalantly and i got the form to fill in. While i'm doing it, many ppl were gathering at the entrance and were creating a commotion. There were Weiyong, Benedict, Adrian and other group 2 ppl. I teased them of being a bunch of scary-cats and they came in while shooting me back. They were very excited as they were filling in the forms, and the atmosphere became merrier. Most of them were first-timers and I was kinda acting like a senior(bleh). When it was my turn after all the procedures, i went and get my blood drained out while chatting and laughing at Kristine's remark on how fast was my blood gusting out. I was jz going to fill up the pack when Wei Yong came to me and said she can't donate. I stared at her in bewilderment. She explained that her blood count was under requirement. I can't help laughing at her sulky face while she stood there looking eagerly at my blood pack.
Before long, i was up and feeling jz fine. I had a cup or two of the full-cream coco and munched on the bread provided there. Mohan was there donating blood as i opened up a pack of biscuits(Free food!). We hovered over him and Adrian was in the other chair, looking kinda tensed. We chatted awhile and it seems that rumours were spreading about the fire incident. Ppl said it was the Xpose's doings and was jz a hoax. Yet there were injuries, as told by others. *shrugs* we couldn't care less and so we left after i've devoured the whole pack of biscuits, satisfied.
And, oh yeah, we skipped Physics tut. Big deal. We got ppl to sign for us wat :P
At about 10, we ended our japanese class, which has more students now and getting more interesting. We learnt the all the hiragana characters, which i can hardly read still.
Feeling hungry, i went out with yining and gang to get food. We ate our supper at the burger haram place(it's jz wat we call it), which was situated at the bustop near EP. The beef burger was delicious and filling. After that, we went back contented.

The next day, the unexpected and even worse thing happened. At 12sth, as i was happily munching my sandwich at my computer, I turned to my left when i heard a click from the stand fan. The propeller slowed down. And to my HORROR, my monitor blackout in a blink and guess wat? all my queues and downloads in Mirc GONE! ARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! BLACKOUT!!! Not to mention the room was like sahara desert without the fan!! What the hell happened?!
In an instant, my query was answered by Yining, the news bearer. She said KL and Johor and other places suffer blackout too. Maybe there was a power trip or sth. True enough, we found out in The Star Online later that there was a power trip in Kapar, near Port Klang, which cause this to happen. But at that time, i was jz thinking about my lab session, which was 2 hours later. Without electricity we certainly can't conduct the experiment! and along that came the thought of class cancelling. Excited about it, i phoned boss and asked him to comfirm it. Although the lecturer was not in, we were very sure that if there's still no electricity at 2pm the lab sec. will be cancelled. I was so glad to hear this and wished that the blackout will last until 5. This is because all of us dreaded lab sec as everyone will be so tensed up and cranky and mad during that 3 interminably tormenting hours. We jz hated it. end of story. And so, half expecting the cancellation, i went to Loo Mun's room as it's windy and read my novel leisurely. I was even planing to go hiking with Yining at 4sth since we dun have class anymore. And, I spoke too soon...
at almost 2, Ce-yi rang me and told me to go for lab in a panicky tone. I was like 'huh? wat lab session?' and then it dawn on me that the dreadful lab is still on. I sprang out of Loo Mun's room and changed in a jiffy while waking Kristine up. And then we rushed to FOSEE as if our lives depended on it.
On the ground floor, we saw ppl waiting for the lift and naturally we too joined in, since the lab's on the 5th floor. As we were in the lift, the door was stucked when it's suppose to open up at 4th floor. We patiently waited for it to open, anxiety growing in every passing second. There were dead silence and i broke it irritatedly with "sh*t! Are we stuck or wat?" Everyone looked tenser, thanks to me...
But, as if i've jz said 'open sesame!', the door slided open, and all of us ran out for our lives. It was such a frightening moment, and i was so glad that we jz nearly got stuck in an elevator...
In a huff and a puff, we went in to the lab and got into our groups. It was super stuffy and hot in there. We started off doing the experiment, which was luckily quite easy compared to last time, as the Newbie Lecturer said we can't complete the second part of the experiment and thus have to come back on friday to do it. This created and uproar as it was unreasonable. Ppl had bought tickets back home and some have to prepare for the Miss Spark event, and there he was, asking ppl to cancel their plans and waste their tickets in such a short notice jz to finish off the damn experiment. How considerate. We certainly dun need anymore excitement now, being burning with heat as well as anger. The boys were swearing blatantly and they meant to let that newbie hear them. I would have left the lab if i could, as the room was on the verge of bursting with flaming anger and intolerable tension.
Luckily, things got better as the power supply was back on. It really saved the day. We can now conduct the 2nd part of the experiment, though many were still pissed off. At least we dun have to do class replacement, i thought. We finished the experiment early and was relieved. I've had enough for one day... it kills. Wonder how i'd survive the rest of the lab sessions as i foresee the bleak future of it...
Exhausted, we drag ourselves back to our room and called it a day.
Bad Things happen to us, whether we like it or not. And sumtimes, we jz can't help it. Oh well, C'est la vie~

P.S right after i came back to my room, i on my com and also the speakers. and Puffed! the music died down into dead silence as i turned ash white. Now i have to use headset until the end of the sem... jz great. Things are inevitable but why this!? Arrrgggh... it jz isn't my day.

Trip to KL

on 1/11/2005 11:05:00 PM

This was the best trip. in jz 2 days and a half, i've been to Petaling street, One Utama, Sungai Wang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza and Berjaya Time square! I've taken LRT, taxi and even monorail(first time) for transport! Cool~
On Friday, right after our Apply maths class, me and Kristine rushed back to our room to do some light packing. Actually it was me who haven't packed :P. So after about half an hour, we were at the RSU bus stop waiting for bus. Luckily, before long a bus wira came and we boarded it. Previously we missed our bus to KL as we boarded the bus tuah, which took ages to get to the melaka sentral. Phew, it was good actually, to not worry about missing the bus and enjoy the bus ride. we alighted at the sentral at 1pm, an hour before the departure of our bus to KL. This is such a relief! Even more, we manage to get in the 1.30pm bus as we requested from the counter. Yey! everything goes smoothly!
At about 4pm, we got off the bus and got ourselves queueing up for the tickets back to melaka. Kristine said she wanted to buy dunkin dounut for her aunt who let us stay overnight as a token of gratitude. She bought a box of it as i'd done buying tickets. Then, we went to Petalling Street happily. We were planning to go the manga shop we spotted last time to browse on comics and maybe buy some of the posters, which were cheap. From afar, as we were walking towards the location of the shop, i had a feeling it was closed. Darn! It was! Tough luck. But wait! there's a paper stuck to the shop. What? It had moved! and the map was totally unknown to us. We tried to walk about petalling street to search for similar landmarks drawn in the map. It stated that it's near a popular bookshop, but when we got there, there's nothing near a comic shop around it. Then i recalled my aunt saying there's 2 popular bookshops in petalling street! Too bad we din go in the popular we saw and ask about the location of the other one. We were exhausted from the walking and the hot weather, and so we retreated. Instead, we got ourselves a nice bowl of black sugar dou fu hwa and kinda rejuvenated. :P
After that, we walked to the pasar seni LRT to get back to Kristine's aunt's house in SS2. When we alighted the LRT, her aunt came and fetch us in the Taman Bahagia station. Then we went out again, and it felt so good walking without my backpack, which was left in the house. We flagged down a taxi and it took us to One Utama, and guess wat? the fees' jz RM4.50! Geesh, taxis in melaka are crazy, they suck money greedily out of you like a vampire!
Once in, we rushed to Mark's with a hungry stomach. Kristine ordered asam laksa and i follow suit. It was expensive but damn nice! other than the fish shreds, everything tasted so delicious. The soup was superb along with extra mint(from Kristine) and the noodles. We savour our palate there blissfully.
Then, feeling satisfied, we walk around window shopping. Kristine tried on some shirts and bought a long sleeve, broad neck one, which looked nice on her. I bought a sundae(die la, eat so much) and then continue to browse the shops. We walked the old wing as well as the new wing, and went to the anime-tech there. After drooling over the anime merchandise and figurines we went off again.
While mounching on some garlic bread we bought from delifrance, we were driftly aimlessly staring at the nice stuffs when suddenly kristine said she wanna go settle sth with a toy shop owner there. So we went, and i was awed. In the small crowded toy shop were figures and box set of characters from Star Wars, Marvel comics and Lord of the Ring. some of the impressive figures had such in depth details that i can stare at them admiring for ages. Then the shop worker showed us 'the sting' in LotR. It was so cool! it can lit up in a blue light and then when you swing it, there's a whooshing sound and metal clanks! Motion sensor, awesome! Before long, Kristine settle her stuff and then got a miniature 'the sting' and a statue with 'shards of Narsil'. I never knew she was once so crazy over LotR until spending several hundreds for the weapons! Wow...
The next day, Kristine's sister dropped us in the monorail station and i was excited cos i've never taken the monorail. The ride was short but enjoyable since it was not packed in there and we were going to Imbi, which was jz 3 stations ahead. We decided to go to Sungai Wang first, and thus we went there. Well, it was so crowded in there we can hardly pass through the impermeable sea of ppl. We got up several floors and found dvds selling 3 for RM10! It was jz unbeliavable. We went in several dvd shops and then got our hands on some of them. Kristine was so happy cos she got 'The return of the king' extended dvd version for only 50 bucks. I was in a frenzy too, with the crowd and excitement and cheap dvd and moreover, I found Howl's Moving Castle! Despite it was sold at Rm9.90, I bought it in a flash as i've been scouring all over for it! Yey! double happiness!
Besides the dvd shops, we also went in the anime shop there. There were so many anime posters and figures and dvd animes! I was busy taking in everything in there, discovering an anime or two that i wanted to watch, and shrugging off after looking at the price tag. >_<" Even some new titles like bleach, rozen maiden were out on the display.
When we decided that we had lingered long enough, we got out and walked to Low Yat. There, Kristine hunted for keyboards and ram while i browse around. I got myself 100 plastic cd covers for 5 bucks and also a guide to Photoshop in cd. Kristine finally decided to get a samsung keyboard and then bought a 128mb ram after a long dilemma. I was abit tired by then, not to mention hungry. And so we ran off to Time square while munching on the hot-from-oven Mexico Bun. Yummy...
In short, we jz dragged ourselves aimlessly in timesquare after browsing through most things in Anime-tech and some other cd shops. We were tired and my feet sored. So at about 9pm, we got ourselves some ice-creams from McD (again?!) and took the monorail back to KL central, where we change to Putra and get our bums back in SS2. Phew! I felt so drained out that i can drop dead on the bed. Ha! But after taking a bathe, i was as fresh as ever. So, we watched Howl's moving castle until pass midnight. I was abit disappointed though, as the quality was like taken right off the cinema and the storyline was not really as good compared to the novel. Sigh. Oh well, at least i bought it below 10 bucks...
On Sunday morning,(opps,or should i say afternoon) we woke up and then pack our stuff. it was quite an ordeal since we were loaded with stuff and can hardly fit them in our backpacks. After struggling for a while, we managed, and off we go, after bidding goodbye to Kristine's cousin (her aunt was away). We took the Putra Liner, which was now renamed Rapid KL to the LRT station and then we were in Pasar Seni in no time.
We went to look for the comic shop as a last resort, and we found it! it was jz right under our nose and we've passed it numerous time! But then, it was too early to rejoice. the shop had merged with other shops and thus the posters and stuff were scattered among those. Well, better luck next time. We were chasing time as our bus was due at 3 o'clock, and we had only half an hour left when we got to one of the shops. Nevertheless, we managed to take a peek and then Kristine bought a Saiyuki Reload Puzzle. Satisfied, we went to Pudu bus station and aboard the bus back to Melaka.
It drizzled when we jz reached Jusco, where we got in a taxi and were driven back to the hostel. So that's it. I've learnt alot from this trip, like where to go for transport, the locations of places i wanna go...etc. Glad i have Kristine around to show me all this. Thx, Kristine! *muaks* ^w^

Jap class!

on 1/05/2005 11:45:00 PM

Wow! I joined the japanese language class along with Kristine, Sharon, Loo Mun and Yining. It was abit hard for me, especially the writing part, but it was fun nonetheless. The class was started at 7pm, and i was jz in time for it cos i went to pasar at 6 and rush back to take a bath before the class. Phew!
There were surprisingly few ppl for the class cos i thought there's suppose to be a classful of us. Well then, it's better off this way as Mr. Yeo, our sensei can give us more attention. :P
first we learn the romaji, which is the pronounciation of the japanese words written in alphabet. then we learn to write(so hard la, lucky i know chinese, which makes it easier for me..hehe) 30 of the hiragana characters. After that, we learn to speak abit of greetings and numbers. It was fun and kinda like going back to kindergarden as we repeat after wat Yeo sensei said from the board. Then we make blunders and had several good laugh. We were chating excitedly whenever we tumbled upon familiar words, which we unconsciously learnt or heard of while watching anime. :P
Time flew in there like light speed. We were having much fun in the class and in a blink of eye, it's already time to go. Sigh. We paid the fees(RM150) to Yeo-san and left, getting all excited for the next class. Before that, i'll have to buck up on 'drawing' the characters and recognising them. Now i can finally do something useful during physics class... heheheh...

Busy busy...

on 1/05/2005 01:16:00 AM

Think i'd done quite alot in a day... not exactly today though, counting in yesterday too. know wat? yesterday was the first time i devotedly do homework the whole night (with occasional short interruption :P). It felt really felt good to be able to complete the homework. It gave me a sense of accomplishment although i got most of the answers wrong, but that is beside the point. *blek*
This morning was hectic. I rushed here and there, sweating profusely. First i went to APAC to settle the Clc concourse case, where 2 events (Emina's and cyberpreneurship's) clash and negotiation are to be done. After understanding the situation, we give and take and settled the complication calmly. With that, I called Kidrock about the FMD part. We got so nervous as we know the cyber-sthship ppl are going for FMD too but we dun know how to fill in the form. The only solution was to go back to the department to ask for help. Then, we literally ran over there and filled out the form, booking as many partition boards and tables as we can. Kidrock did the stat approval part and i went to class, panting. Jz half an hour late. No biggie.
Later after the English class, kidrock called stating that the kakak in the FMD was not sure how many boards and table will be available for us. This is absurb. How could they not know?! they are suppose to be in charge! So, we jz ask them to give us all the available ones and comfirm with us later. Phew! Wat a day. So to compensate, i skipped Physics. :P
Later i met a few guys in clc to get their names for the working committee. One of them was kinda cute~ ^^
At 4, which is after Stats tutorial, me and kristine went to ep to buy tickets to KL for this weekend. this is gotta be fun!
Finally after all that, the hectic day slowed down its pace. What a relief. Back in my room, i watched a few episodes of Hack.sign and previewed some other anime i downloaded. For dinner, we ate fried Yee Mee, which was delicious and somewhat not enough to fill our appetites...
We went back at about 7.30, jz enough time for me to go for the content meeting. heh. I saw Siew (Welcome back!) in spr and was listening to him about the world debate. There were a few new faces during the meeting but as usual, i can't remember names... *blek*
So this is all. Suddenly realized that I have such boring life. *sigh* this is jz another ordinary day i guess. But I'm glad that it's like normal, for i dun wat any tsunami in melaka or earthquakes in that case... Hope everyone have a peaceful day too, safe and sound.

2nd day of 2005

on 1/03/2005 01:31:00 AM

darn.. my old habit of sleeping late and waking up even later had came back. I can't let this happen again! Urgh! i'm gonna set alarm from now on and force myself to get up.
i was jz loitering around the net when Patrick buzzed me. Said Sharon was not feeling well and so i went to her room to see. She wasn't there so i called her. I was told that she was in front of the hostel office and so i rushed to see her, painfully squating there. I totally freaked out and asked her if she wanna go to a hospital. Of course the answer was yes (i was jz being stupid) and thus i walked her to the gate, where there's suppose to be taxi. Her face was ash white and she was clunching her stomach. I felt really helpless and useless. On the way she vomitted abit, into her plastic bag she prepared. I can't really do anything to ease her pain, but to pat her as soothingly as i can and will her pain to fly away...
Patrick haled a taxi and we went to pantai hospital. It was stupid. the whole hospital has only the emergency department open and there were only 2 doctors there. Jz wat we needed. I was kidding with her that by the time she get to see the doc, she'd recovered. She curled up on the seat and got me worried, though she said it was not that bad already. Patrick was dealing with the registeration part as we waited for her turn.
It was before long that she had her turn. Asked for a jab and then she got it. haha.. still can't supress my gleefulness hearing her reaction when she got her injection else where than her arm. ^^ Meanwhile, Patrick was dealing with the medicine pick up. I wonder how much it cost...
And as if miracle, she got better and we chat awhile as she was still lying down on the bed. Jabs can really do wonders, i thought...*shrugs* i still prefer medicine though.. :P
When he came back, I saw the receipt, which stated it's 70 over bucks. Walao a!! the jab can really burn ppl's pocket. 50bucks for a jab, imagine that! but then it works, which was what matters. after this we went back via taxi.
About 3 sth i returned back to my room and watched hack sign with kristine. we had a marathon until 6sth, when we were reminded to eat dinner. heheh.. So off we went to the restaurant near Taman bunga raya. The food was ok, i guess, and besides, it's nearby. I think it'll be good to eat there sometime(too lazy to walk so far :P).
Jz now me, kristine, loo mun and yining watched 'meet the parents' together in our room. Kristine dragged her bed down and we sat there drinking vodka while watching. I finished the bottle in a jiffy, and turned tomato red in a jiffy too. My cheeks felt like burning! Phew! even loo mun's was not as red as mine. Hehe.. i shouldn't have dried it so fast..:P
we had fun and there goes my Sunday. Why does Monday slip in so fast? Sigh...

Happy New Year!

on 1/01/2005 01:42:00 PM

Wow! a year had passed and i'd spend the last day of 2004 like a crazy brat. hahah.. It was really fun!

We rented 2 kancils and went to shopping at first and guess wat? i've spend the most ever since i came to MMU! 70 over bucks for my stuff! that's like shopping for a family already! hahaha... this jz proved that i'm a crazy gal. :P (Kristine was no better. hahaha...)

After the mad shopping spree, we went to mp(short for mahkota parade, a shopping mall, the largest and the only one in melacca :P) for movie. We decided to watch 'Meet the Fockers', which is a sequal to 'Meet the parents'. It was not going to show for another half and hour so we when to have Baskin' Robbins. Wow! so glad that december had 31days! We get to have 31% discount for a pint! So, Me, Kristine, Loo Loo and Wei Yong shared a pint and tasted the luxury deliriously. Yummy! It was so smooth and creamy! there's cholate and walnut and raspberry and shortcake.. the last time i had it was in July! After licking every bits and pieces of the delicious icecream, we went in the cinema and enjoyed the show. it's hilarious and really entertaining. you all should go watch it. :)

Then, it was about 7pm. We drove away and then go to Jonker Street. At first there's some complication as Sau Jong can't unlock the gear securing thingie. But then it was resolved before long, thank's to Kristine's handy new plyer. hehehe.. And off we went to eat the long craved Nyonya laksa. It was so sour and the tuna in the soup is so good! There was a big prawn in it too. drool... We satisfied our craving until the last drop of the soup. Then, we went around the street admiring the various handy crafts ranging from oriental ornaments to modern figurines.

At about 10pm, we went to eat satay celup. this is a delicacy only in Melacca. really unique actually. it is a combination of Lok Lok and satey. you get the Lok Lok you want and then dip it in the special nutty and sum wat rojak-ish gravy. It was fun taking the sticks in and out the cauldron to see if our food was well-cooked or not.

Right after that, we decided to go to Pure bar. I've never been to a bar before so we went to see what it's like. Saujong said there will be lots of ppl and true enough,it's crowded with a sea of young ppl. There were lots of MMU student too, as i saw some familiar faces as we were outside the bar, which was impermeable with people dancing in the full bass music from the booming speakers. I said i wanna see how it's like inside and so we went squeezing in. The moment i stepped in, it felt like i've gone in a different world. i can feel the vibration of deafening musics was so real that my heartbeat lunged out along with the rhythm. Colourful rays of light penetrate the dark bar randomly, dancing in the music. People are drinking and dancing and shouting to each other as they can hardly hear themselves. They are really enjoying themselves.

I was far too excited to blend in the spot. it was like a kid going to a zoo. get wat i mean? i was so busy drinking in the loud music, the vibrations, the cool ppl in there, the disco ball, the blindingly bright rays of dancing light... until countdown, we stood in the bar with occational movements slong the flow of music, revelling in the new exciting surrounding. Everyone got so crazy screaming and raving and making noises when the DJ count down and then annouced the arrival of New Year, 2005! Wohoo! 2004 had ended with a bang and then gave way to 2005! Hope it will be a better year with less tragedy...

We got out of the maddening place after that and drove around the streets. the cool night air was blowing my hair wild and caressing my face with its icy fingers. I've never felt so alive! really wanted to scream out to everyone on the streets,"Happy new year!!" but of course i wasn't crazy enough to do that. :P too bad...

Since the St. Paul's hill was not accessible at night, we went walking around and played like kids in a nearby playground. I climbed the monkey bars and dunno how to get down. It was so embarrassing! But we had fun, having Sau Jong acting like a monkey in the swing, yining going higher and higher, Kristine on top of the bars, like the king of the world observing her silly frens fooling around.

It felt really good being able to go crazy and play till our heart's desire once in a while. The little girl in my glowed. i'm not that grown up yet. Wish i can still have fun like this even when i've became an adult... *sigh* Hope being 19 will be as good or even better!

3,2,1...puff! A year had gone and here comes a new one, year 2005! Happy new year everyone! Hope you all have a new fresh start and continue to live life to the fullest! Wish you will have happiness in every single second this year!
