Day 5~

starting now i'm writing this after the trip, cos on that fateful day, i got really 'lucky'. remember the mongolian style buffet? i think because of that, my tummy started to rumble non stop and ached now and then. yes.. i got myself an attack of diarrhea! die la.. i din know how i managed to survive without shooting off to toilet every 10 minutes OTZ the first tourist spot of the day was the emperors' tomb from qing dynasty. There, i will run to every available toilets and then come out relieved, for 1-2 hours before i dash again.. haiz.

As if this is not bad enuf, i got even luckier when i was trying to snap the monument below.. i walked on the marble steps with my camera standby to snap any second, and suddenly i felt unbalanced and the gravity force pulled me head first and made me kiss the dusty ground. ==||| Mom was behind running towards me obviously worried. All the while Mom was asking about my knees or ankles or elbows if they're injured but i jz told her i'm ok. i was more worried about the camera, which knocked the ground along with me!! summore the len's on!! Arrrggh! I tried to fix the camera, which now had irreversible scratches. After a few anxious fumbling, it finally functioned normally. Phew.. I was too worried about the camera to notice the pain in my knees.. Later on then only i realized as we had to walk down to the basement in order to see the tomb... Ittai yo!! totally had no mood to look at the ancient ornaments in the tomb as i was limping all the way up to ground again.

The worse has yet to come, cos our next stop was the China Wall *faints* why? cos we had to climb on that steep mountain high wall. Urgh.. i can't refuse not to, cos all the old ppl went up.. i'd feel damn useless if i don't, so i begin my teeth gritting journey up the great wall. It was damn hard, as the height of the steps are uneven, but all mostly knee height, which was a pain to my bleding scratched knees. After about an hour, me and mom were up on one of the high towers and call it quits. Damn satisfied as i look afar at the mountainous view. We snapped pics, rested our poor legs, only then we went down carefully. it'd be fatal if i trip there *shivers*. then when it's time, we went up the bus and from there, we headed to datong (大同), one of the city in shanxi (山西) province. The bus journey took more than 7 hours, cos of the stupid congestion on the highway, which was all clogged up with lorries and other heavy vehicles. At 8pm only we reached datong, and we ate dinner there before going to our hotel. having tommy ache and knee injury, me dropped dead instantly on the hotel bed that night :p

Day 6~

Dun have much appetite for the following days cos of the diarrhea but then i felt a wee bit better after taking some medicine mom bought along. We went to 2 places only during our stay in Datong, and both of them require walking alot. haiz... so we go see the cavern of buddhas there and then the hanging temple situated in the middle of a moutain, thus having the name. luckily my injuries weren't that bad anymore, so i was able to climb the stairs up to the temple without much difficulty and pain. and that's it for our sight seeing cos we have to head back to beijing, and yey~ another 6-8 hours of bus ride. wat joy it was... *sweat* in the end we reached beijing at 8.30pm and jz in time before the restaurant close up for the day. still having diarrhea that time, so din eat much.. can't even eat fruits TT_TT

Day 7~

Felt better cos my tummy's not grumbling that much already, and we went to beijing's underground tunnel for a visit. it was like an underground maze, with tunnels going here and there and practically we can reach every prominent places using the tunnel. seems that it's for military use and to hide from bombing in President Mao's time. The tunnel was only open up for public recently so we get to visit only parts of it. they have factory, hospitals, place for ammunition, residental area and even schools! @__@ imagine it's like an underground city there.. and the tunnel was dug by manpower.. it's really impressive. too bad i can't take pic cos of military reasons. we went around the tunnels led by a tour guide there and later on we were brought to a underground shop selling silk products. there they started promoting and stuff and i wasn't interested to listen cos i've known since last visit to shanghai. they all talk about the same thing. so me and mom walk around the souvenir corner and pick some handy gifts for frens. Before long, after most of us had bought enuf stuffs, we went up to ground again.

we ate lunch before travelling to tian jin (天津) which took about 3 hours. there we jz go shopping cos there's not much historical stuff there. bought alot of traditional biscuit and nuts and even scallops, which tian jin is famous for. after dinner, we return to beijing without staying overnight in tian jin. starting to get sick of bus ride, especially those more than 3 hours ones.. haiz.

Last day. wee~

was forced to wake up at 5am, and checked out at 5.45am as we board the bus towards airport. the trip to airport was 1 hour so we ate our doggy bag breakfast and slept in bus. our air flight was due on 8.45am, so we had to be there 2 hours earlier, which's 6.45am. we reached there jz in time so we linger in the duty free area until we board the plane. on the plane i watched 3 movies, the first one was a korean comedy "she's on duty", 2nd was Jay Chou's "Initial D" and the third one which i can't finish was a japanese science fiction drama called "Hinokio". the first one was so hilarious that i had to eat my fist to stop bursting into laughter. Jay's was ok, but the third one was really touching and thought provoking. now trying to search for its download XD. Once in singapore, we din stop long cos our next flight was due in an hour's time when we touched down.

Then as we arrived in Penang, Mom was busy buying DOM and cigarettes while i go pick up some chocolates XD. Loaded with stuffs, we pass the customs and went up our tour company's bus back to taiping. Yeah~ Home Sweet Home!
