Jap class!

on 1/05/2005 11:45:00 PM

Wow! I joined the japanese language class along with Kristine, Sharon, Loo Mun and Yining. It was abit hard for me, especially the writing part, but it was fun nonetheless. The class was started at 7pm, and i was jz in time for it cos i went to pasar at 6 and rush back to take a bath before the class. Phew!
There were surprisingly few ppl for the class cos i thought there's suppose to be a classful of us. Well then, it's better off this way as Mr. Yeo, our sensei can give us more attention. :P
first we learn the romaji, which is the pronounciation of the japanese words written in alphabet. then we learn to write(so hard la, lucky i know chinese, which makes it easier for me..hehe) 30 of the hiragana characters. After that, we learn to speak abit of greetings and numbers. It was fun and kinda like going back to kindergarden as we repeat after wat Yeo sensei said from the board. Then we make blunders and had several good laugh. We were chating excitedly whenever we tumbled upon familiar words, which we unconsciously learnt or heard of while watching anime. :P
Time flew in there like light speed. We were having much fun in the class and in a blink of eye, it's already time to go. Sigh. We paid the fees(RM150) to Yeo-san and left, getting all excited for the next class. Before that, i'll have to buck up on 'drawing' the characters and recognising them. Now i can finally do something useful during physics class... heheheh...

Busy busy...

on 1/05/2005 01:16:00 AM

Think i'd done quite alot in a day... not exactly today though, counting in yesterday too. know wat? yesterday was the first time i devotedly do homework the whole night (with occasional short interruption :P). It felt really felt good to be able to complete the homework. It gave me a sense of accomplishment although i got most of the answers wrong, but that is beside the point. *blek*
This morning was hectic. I rushed here and there, sweating profusely. First i went to APAC to settle the Clc concourse case, where 2 events (Emina's and cyberpreneurship's) clash and negotiation are to be done. After understanding the situation, we give and take and settled the complication calmly. With that, I called Kidrock about the FMD part. We got so nervous as we know the cyber-sthship ppl are going for FMD too but we dun know how to fill in the form. The only solution was to go back to the department to ask for help. Then, we literally ran over there and filled out the form, booking as many partition boards and tables as we can. Kidrock did the stat approval part and i went to class, panting. Jz half an hour late. No biggie.
Later after the English class, kidrock called stating that the kakak in the FMD was not sure how many boards and table will be available for us. This is absurb. How could they not know?! they are suppose to be in charge! So, we jz ask them to give us all the available ones and comfirm with us later. Phew! Wat a day. So to compensate, i skipped Physics. :P
Later i met a few guys in clc to get their names for the working committee. One of them was kinda cute~ ^^
At 4, which is after Stats tutorial, me and kristine went to ep to buy tickets to KL for this weekend. this is gotta be fun!
Finally after all that, the hectic day slowed down its pace. What a relief. Back in my room, i watched a few episodes of Hack.sign and previewed some other anime i downloaded. For dinner, we ate fried Yee Mee, which was delicious and somewhat not enough to fill our appetites...
We went back at about 7.30, jz enough time for me to go for the content meeting. heh. I saw Siew (Welcome back!) in spr and was listening to him about the world debate. There were a few new faces during the meeting but as usual, i can't remember names... *blek*
So this is all. Suddenly realized that I have such boring life. *sigh* this is jz another ordinary day i guess. But I'm glad that it's like normal, for i dun wat any tsunami in melaka or earthquakes in that case... Hope everyone have a peaceful day too, safe and sound.

2nd day of 2005

on 1/03/2005 01:31:00 AM

darn.. my old habit of sleeping late and waking up even later had came back. I can't let this happen again! Urgh! i'm gonna set alarm from now on and force myself to get up.
i was jz loitering around the net when Patrick buzzed me. Said Sharon was not feeling well and so i went to her room to see. She wasn't there so i called her. I was told that she was in front of the hostel office and so i rushed to see her, painfully squating there. I totally freaked out and asked her if she wanna go to a hospital. Of course the answer was yes (i was jz being stupid) and thus i walked her to the gate, where there's suppose to be taxi. Her face was ash white and she was clunching her stomach. I felt really helpless and useless. On the way she vomitted abit, into her plastic bag she prepared. I can't really do anything to ease her pain, but to pat her as soothingly as i can and will her pain to fly away...
Patrick haled a taxi and we went to pantai hospital. It was stupid. the whole hospital has only the emergency department open and there were only 2 doctors there. Jz wat we needed. I was kidding with her that by the time she get to see the doc, she'd recovered. She curled up on the seat and got me worried, though she said it was not that bad already. Patrick was dealing with the registeration part as we waited for her turn.
It was before long that she had her turn. Asked for a jab and then she got it. haha.. still can't supress my gleefulness hearing her reaction when she got her injection else where than her arm. ^^ Meanwhile, Patrick was dealing with the medicine pick up. I wonder how much it cost...
And as if miracle, she got better and we chat awhile as she was still lying down on the bed. Jabs can really do wonders, i thought...*shrugs* i still prefer medicine though.. :P
When he came back, I saw the receipt, which stated it's 70 over bucks. Walao a!! the jab can really burn ppl's pocket. 50bucks for a jab, imagine that! but then it works, which was what matters. after this we went back via taxi.
About 3 sth i returned back to my room and watched hack sign with kristine. we had a marathon until 6sth, when we were reminded to eat dinner. heheh.. So off we went to the restaurant near Taman bunga raya. The food was ok, i guess, and besides, it's nearby. I think it'll be good to eat there sometime(too lazy to walk so far :P).
Jz now me, kristine, loo mun and yining watched 'meet the parents' together in our room. Kristine dragged her bed down and we sat there drinking vodka while watching. I finished the bottle in a jiffy, and turned tomato red in a jiffy too. My cheeks felt like burning! Phew! even loo mun's was not as red as mine. Hehe.. i shouldn't have dried it so fast..:P
we had fun and there goes my Sunday. Why does Monday slip in so fast? Sigh...

Happy New Year!

on 1/01/2005 01:42:00 PM

Wow! a year had passed and i'd spend the last day of 2004 like a crazy brat. hahah.. It was really fun!

We rented 2 kancils and went to shopping at first and guess wat? i've spend the most ever since i came to MMU! 70 over bucks for my stuff! that's like shopping for a family already! hahaha... this jz proved that i'm a crazy gal. :P (Kristine was no better. hahaha...)

After the mad shopping spree, we went to mp(short for mahkota parade, a shopping mall, the largest and the only one in melacca :P) for movie. We decided to watch 'Meet the Fockers', which is a sequal to 'Meet the parents'. It was not going to show for another half and hour so we when to have Baskin' Robbins. Wow! so glad that december had 31days! We get to have 31% discount for a pint! So, Me, Kristine, Loo Loo and Wei Yong shared a pint and tasted the luxury deliriously. Yummy! It was so smooth and creamy! there's cholate and walnut and raspberry and shortcake.. the last time i had it was in July! After licking every bits and pieces of the delicious icecream, we went in the cinema and enjoyed the show. it's hilarious and really entertaining. you all should go watch it. :)

Then, it was about 7pm. We drove away and then go to Jonker Street. At first there's some complication as Sau Jong can't unlock the gear securing thingie. But then it was resolved before long, thank's to Kristine's handy new plyer. hehehe.. And off we went to eat the long craved Nyonya laksa. It was so sour and the tuna in the soup is so good! There was a big prawn in it too. drool... We satisfied our craving until the last drop of the soup. Then, we went around the street admiring the various handy crafts ranging from oriental ornaments to modern figurines.

At about 10pm, we went to eat satay celup. this is a delicacy only in Melacca. really unique actually. it is a combination of Lok Lok and satey. you get the Lok Lok you want and then dip it in the special nutty and sum wat rojak-ish gravy. It was fun taking the sticks in and out the cauldron to see if our food was well-cooked or not.

Right after that, we decided to go to Pure bar. I've never been to a bar before so we went to see what it's like. Saujong said there will be lots of ppl and true enough,it's crowded with a sea of young ppl. There were lots of MMU student too, as i saw some familiar faces as we were outside the bar, which was impermeable with people dancing in the full bass music from the booming speakers. I said i wanna see how it's like inside and so we went squeezing in. The moment i stepped in, it felt like i've gone in a different world. i can feel the vibration of deafening musics was so real that my heartbeat lunged out along with the rhythm. Colourful rays of light penetrate the dark bar randomly, dancing in the music. People are drinking and dancing and shouting to each other as they can hardly hear themselves. They are really enjoying themselves.

I was far too excited to blend in the spot. it was like a kid going to a zoo. get wat i mean? i was so busy drinking in the loud music, the vibrations, the cool ppl in there, the disco ball, the blindingly bright rays of dancing light... until countdown, we stood in the bar with occational movements slong the flow of music, revelling in the new exciting surrounding. Everyone got so crazy screaming and raving and making noises when the DJ count down and then annouced the arrival of New Year, 2005! Wohoo! 2004 had ended with a bang and then gave way to 2005! Hope it will be a better year with less tragedy...

We got out of the maddening place after that and drove around the streets. the cool night air was blowing my hair wild and caressing my face with its icy fingers. I've never felt so alive! really wanted to scream out to everyone on the streets,"Happy new year!!" but of course i wasn't crazy enough to do that. :P too bad...

Since the St. Paul's hill was not accessible at night, we went walking around and played like kids in a nearby playground. I climbed the monkey bars and dunno how to get down. It was so embarrassing! But we had fun, having Sau Jong acting like a monkey in the swing, yining going higher and higher, Kristine on top of the bars, like the king of the world observing her silly frens fooling around.

It felt really good being able to go crazy and play till our heart's desire once in a while. The little girl in my glowed. i'm not that grown up yet. Wish i can still have fun like this even when i've became an adult... *sigh* Hope being 19 will be as good or even better!

3,2,1...puff! A year had gone and here comes a new one, year 2005! Happy new year everyone! Hope you all have a new fresh start and continue to live life to the fullest! Wish you will have happiness in every single second this year!

1 day till new year!

on 12/30/2004 05:39:00 PM

yey! today there's only 2 hours of class! Wee~
During our English class, we were taken to the library to search for materials and articles for our academic essay title, which we have to decide by then. Doubtful that i can do much during that half an hour though. Heh.
During the hunt for books, Kristine found photoshop guides! What a surprise! never thought that these books exist in our library. One was Adobe Photoshop 6 and another was Photoshop 5.5 for web designs! Weeee...
Putting that aside, we manage to decide for our title after searching around aimlessly. Then, we borrowed the books and gone back happily.
After that, i had a meeting at 2pmand discussed about the drama thingie we have to present with my group members. We decided to do 'The Lady or the Tiger' and moreover, we're going to give a twist to the drama since the original story doesn't have an ending. Everyone pushed the script writing job to an unwilling Ethan. (We are so eviil.. haha) but promised to help him later of course. We won't let you die, Ethan!
hmm.. or should i say we won't let ourselves die in your hands. That's really bad of me. :p

Nothing much...

on 12/28/2004 04:36:00 PM

Yesterday i slept at 2sth after finishing my avatar. Christmas is already over but then i can still use it until new year right? *grin*
Woke up at 8 sth. it's my fren's birthday and was lucky that i remembered. I wished her happy 16th birthday and then chated a lil while with her. Wanted to make sumthing for her but then can't think of wat.
Instead she said her newsletter was out and my Setsuna was in the cover page. I was really excited to see my work posted there. At last, something fruitful. She complimented it and all i could do was blushing.. Can't handle too much of them at a time..heheh..
During the Applied maths tutorial, i was totally blur. i skipped friday's class cos i've went back to taiping. The questions were total alien to me. Can't understand and jz blindly follow what the others' do. Darn! I really dun like being helpless. Going to read the notes afterwards to buckle up, even borrowed Ce-yi's tut answers for reference. Hope i can understand, but seriously doubt it though.
During Physics, it was worse. I wasn't listening but doing my Stats tutorial questions, which are going to be discussed in the next class. I can see the bleak future of my physics ahead...
so this's it. going to watch maria-sama ga miteru now.. finally finish downloading the last episode. yey!!

P.S. Hope all the June intake ppl will enjoy their holidays and for JetSon, i'll pray that the sea will be calm for you to travel back to Penang. Ciao~

Worst Day ever...

on 12/26/2004 11:48:00 PM

Jz came back to Melaka filled with anger and frustration. You know wat? It took me 9 hours to get back here, which usually take 6 hours plus! Damn it! it's not even a smooth ride! Grrrr...

It all started when i reached Pudu bus station at 5.30pm. Before this everthing was good- punctual bus, no traffic congestion, fine weather with slight drizzle- and it jz have to take a turn to the worse...

Okay. First, can't get ticket back to Melaka. I was searching frentically all over the station and finally found one selling. I ran straight to the Jebat Express counter and asked for a ticket to melaka. The aunty behind the counter said it's 15 bucks cos it's additional bus. So, gritting my teeth i purchased it, of which the bus is at 7pm and i'll have to run over to the shell petrol station opposite here to wait for it. As i was devouring my double choc dounut, i thought,"Fine, have to wait for another hour and a half for the bus. I'll jz have my life shorten 10 years waiting in the car exhaust and smoke. jz great."

And things doens't turn out that smooth either. That stupid bus kept us waiting in the foul exhaust for another 45 minutes! We could have sued the bus for worrying us about whether it's not coming at all and for getting us cancer at early age!! By the time we got in it, and mind you, a BAS SEKOLAH, it was about 8pm! Curses!!!

At least I've got in a bus. Or so i thought. Along the way i was chatting with another MMU student in Gammar year named Ah Hoi. my anger was cooled down by the aircon, and also our humourous conversation. Then sumthing went wrong. The highway got congested with vehicles around the Seremban area. "Darn! Now what?" I said under my breath. Later found out that there was an accident, but it doens't really matter. It jz delayed an hour more and made me more miserable.

Maybe it's jz me having plain bad luck. For no known reason, the bus turned and exited the highway at Alor Gajah. I was shocked and after going through all this, i was betting on the worse scenario-stranded in Aloh Gajah Bus station. We were driven along unfamiliar and narrow kampung roads and suddenly i felt like going to pee. Shit! It jz have to get much worse. Time can really torture ppl at some cases, for instant, mine. I felt really urgent and it seemed like hours before the bus halted in front of the bus station. Without much ado, i shot to the toilet. Everything comes after that. Thank God!

After resuming on my seat, the bus was back on rolling. Phew. it's not dumping us in the alien place after all! At that time it was 10pm. Great! after 2hours and i still haven't got back to Bukit Beruang. My conscience soothed me knowing at least i'm not hungry, like Ah hoi, who haven't ate his dinner. So i decided not to get angry. Jz that the frustration is eating me away in chunks...

It was another 45 minutes before i can spot any familiar landmark. It was all factories and big buildings and barren lands. The more i look at the unknown scenary, the more uneasy i felt. I had pangs in my stomach when it suddenly occured to me that wat if the driver dunno where he's going? I stiffen and prayed that i can get back safely. Then my prayer was answered. I saw the bright Tesco signboard jz ahead and the melaka sentral. I was filled with a sense of relief. Finally Ah Hoi can have his dinner, or was it supper? heheh..

I really hoped that everything will be okay after all that, but No, it had to get bad until the end. Glancing at my watch which showed 10.45pm, me and Ah Hoi dubiously rushed in the bus station to see if there's any domestic bus left on duty. Obviously, none of the bus are on so we decided to get taxi and split the fare. I was afraid that the crazy taxi driver's will charge more at night, and i was proven right. 15 Bucks to get back to MMU! Shit! What else can we do but to get in the taxi grudgingly? As if it's not bad enough, the taxi driver have to keep scolding us all the way to mmu about the fare. I was on the verge of punching him in the face when we reached the mmu entrance. He had made me so angry that i swear that i'll beat him up when i see him next time. Jeez!

At last! i'm back! No more bad luck i hope. i've had enough in one day. I'm really pissed off having a sharp pain in my ankle as the last straw. Even after a nice cold bath i can feel the anger rolling in me. Maybe i can get over it after a good night's sleep. Ok then, nitez.

P.S. the tsunami and earthquake in penang and the northern parts was really horrible. 53 lives taken in a flash. This is really a Bad Day. Pray that no more catastrophe like such will happen in M'sia again...*Shivers*

This whole day...

on 12/24/2004 04:37:00 AM

I woke up at 8am. But then maybe my brain's not yet awake, only my eyes opening wide like a saucer while i lay there for another 1 hour before Kristine woke up early. She was expecting me to wake her up, but lucky she can wake up on her own as she have to do her club donation thing. Heheh, my brain's not functioning yet..

We had 2 classes today, Chemistry and English, in which i was drifting away and not listening at all. Oh no... my blurness is coming back! Help!!

After that, me and my classmates went for lunch together. I wasn't eating (tis, tis, diet, eh?) but being with them and listening to their wacky conversation were fun. The only weird thing is that Kai was eating less than usual, which was observed by Kristine. AARRRGGHHH!!! This must be the end of the world!! *run around and bang myself on the wall* Kristine said maybe he's on diet too, then i stare at her and we laughed.

While all of them were going back to BBU, I returned to the campus and hunted for a Christmas card. i found some in the souvenir shop, but not much choices. Right after i've picked one, i rushed to CLC first floor as I'm supposed to meet Ce-yi, Vivi and Boss there. There, i saw them on the skybridge, staring at the girl's hostel. i was bewildered. They explained that they were trying to spot Anne, and instantly we saw her on the ground floor walking towards us.

The main reason we were going to the new FOSEE building was not exploring it, but to see lecturers and ppl in charge about Moral Studies. It was a headache as this year, we Alpha Engineering students are registered to take Chemistry instead of Moral in the 3rd trimester. The problem is that there is a rule stating that we have to sit for Moral and Human Development Exams(HD done in trimester1) in order to go to Beta year. If not, we have to appeal for proceeding to Beta. Now, Boss and Ce-yi wanted to add Moral in their subjects taken, while i jz wanna do credit trasfer cos i've taken Moral during my stay in INTI.

When Anne arrived, we proceeded to the new FOSEE building. We went to 2nd floor to find the Moral lecturer via lift, which smelt like pattery(Vivi said). When we were in her room, the lecturer said that we can slip in to her classes if we dun have clashes with them, but she can't open up a new class especially for us. Then we went to see other 2 lecturers time table. it was futile, as most of the time tables clashed with ours. sigh... So we went to the 3rd floor cos Boss wanted to see Mdm. Aida regarding our English marks.

Instead of going with Boss, me and Ce-yi went to find our AA, Mdm. Sharmini. I asked her about doing credit transfer for my Moral and when i should do it. She was not sure but asked me to refer to the Director or Assistant Director to get a firm answer. And so we went, after we meet up with Boss and Vivi. There, all our questions about the Moral Studies were answered. It seems that we dun have to do anything about it as we can proceed to beta year and only take that subject during that year. The bad thing is that we can't add any subjects as we like in alpha year. Besides, she also said that i can only do credit transfer when i'm required to take that sub. hmm... Case Solved for now.

Not with the English marks though. Boss said that Mdm. Aida told him most of our weaknesses fell on the reading comprehension, instead of the grammar(which was harder). We stared at him incredulously. Then Mdm. Sharmini appeared suddenly, as we were standing in the corridor. We told her everything and she suggested that we asked for remark from ERU, which will cost 50 bucks for each person. Darn! Money is really a good way to shut us up... So, i think we gave up about the marks for now.

Later, Vivi said he wanted to revise his Physics. Anne and Ce-yi were helping him, while i didn't really do much. I was confused when Vivi asked me about lens... darn. Sorry, Viv. Can't be of much help. But i'll lend you all my good luck for your exam, k? ^_^

At 6pm, me and Kristine went for dinner early cos her bus was at 9.30pm. In the restaurant, we met Beatris, who was going to the bus station as well. She said her fren was giving her a ride to bus station, and she invited us to join her too. We were really grateful. At first i was planning to go back Taiping tomorrow, but since i can go to the bus station for free, i might as well try my luck. Who knows if there were still tickets available for going Taiping? *cross my fingers*

And... YES!!! There is a place! Thank God for that... We reached the bus station at 8.50pm, while the bus to taiping was at 9pm. Phew! I made it! After saying goodbye to Kristine, off i go, Back to Home!!

So, know you know where i'm typing this post.*Grin* At Home!! hehehehe...
I reached Kamunting Bus Station at 3.30am groggily. Now, i'm fresh and awake after my bath. *Grin somemore*

btw, about the new Fosee building, the walls for the lecturers' rooms were like fake concrete made with cardboards. Even several punches can bring down the wall...=_=||

Fixed?

on 12/22/2004 06:06:00 PM

Well, my com is currently free of anymore obstinate, pain-in-the-you-know-where Viruses.. yey!

Before this the darn stupid obstinate virus was unable to be deleted no matter how i tried. Besides this, my com was slowed down a zillion times!! even slower than Kristine's com!! My Goodness... Everything takes ages to load and i was really fed up. So i decided to use task manager to end all of them in order to restart. There and then, i was electrified. After seeing the antivirus warning about the darn virus, I was shocked to see that Virus named geeapuk.exe is in the list of running programmes!!! I snapped. Instantly i ended it and restarted my com. The virus was still there of course, but this time, i was able to delete it! Yey!! It's DEAD!!Wohoo!!

After i ran a virus scan, Alex gave me a better antivirus programme, which is also under symantec. At first i installed it, but with errors, which i shouldn't have ignored... at the end i have to uninstall it, uninstall my old antivirus programme and then reinstall it. Phew! Though the live update was not running very smoothly, it got through finally. Safe and sound!

So now my com-Ahem, i really wanna say this- IT IS ALIVE!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
*Goes mad and run around wildly*

Prelude for disaster?

on 12/20/2004 01:16:00 PM

I got back to my room yesterday at about 5 something. Back to melacca, finally! now i can start downloading stuff again like mad! Oo.. and yeah.. have to study.. let's jz skip that part first shall we? :P

Everything was fine when i first came back. I was in a frenzy trying to spread my bedsheet, unpacking my clothes and stuff, chatting with my roommate and Looloo at the same time. That being settled, we went for dinner and even rented lots of comic books after we've eaten. Of course everyone was still in the holiday mood and we were talking away with how we spend our holidays. In fact we were even planning when to get back home for the coming holidays. haha..

When we had walked back to hostel, we hangaround in looloo's room while waiting for me and Kristine's computers to arrive.(if not we would be clinking away in our own room.hehe) Before long, We were plugging in our coms. yey! i never knew at that time wat horrible things were waiting for me ahead...

my com started normally and i was so glad. i was doing updates on my com and then restarted. i spoke too soon. after i've restarted, i was greeted by the login page. i clicked and shit... password!! What Password?! so vaguely i type in my latest password that i remembered. Wrong! i type in another one. Wrong again! and that scenario repeated a zillion times. How do you think i'd felt?! Frustrated of course! it ate into me so much that i almost gone crazy! i was seeking for help desperately. I was smsing the computer guy non stop while Kristine was searching for computer pros in mirc to help out and looloo was scouring the windows xp help to find solutions. After about an hour, everything still looked bleak. i'm practically like ant on frying pan. All i can do was to will the situation to get better.. we tried to get in the safe mode but in vain. needs password too.. die! the last resort was to reformat my c drive.. which means all my mp3s and pics and arts will be gone! Argh!!!

Me and Kristine kept trying other solutions suggested by her expert frens but they seemed too complicated and we have to do lots of stuff and procedure... I was almost dying at that time. So while kristine use her com to download the stuff needed, i rebooted my com a final time to try my luck. Instead of going into safe mode which was futile, i picked the option where we can restart our com in the last seen good condition. after i clicked enter, I Gawked at the screen in disbelief. I saw my wallpaper popping out, and all the icons and followed by my yahoo auto signing in. I nudged Kristine, and she stared at my monitor too, in awe. YES!!! IT WORKED!!!!! My com's alright again!! YEAH!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEE!!!

I was laughing like a mad scientist. Non-stop, i tell you. Even tears of joy were twinkling in my eyes. Kristine was really amazed and i told her wat i did. This is really too much for a day...

But it was jz the beginning...Later i was to suffer more heart attacks. This is jz Plain BAD LUCK I'm having. My com was infested with viruses!!! And here goes again..

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is this ever going to end?! Well, folks! Stay tuned! I can see more catastrophe promised ahead....*banging the wall*
